The Spring 2011 edition of the NY Runner magazine features a full page ad of the Portugal Day NY 2011 race. The NY Runner magazine is the oficial publication of New York Road Runners and America's oldest running publication, established in 1958.

The Portugal Day NY 2011 ad can be found on page 14 of the magazine. The concept and design of the ad was executed by the designers at ivity corp, the oficial image partner of the Portugal Day NY event. The ad includes not only the image items that are standard across all materials produced but also the main sponsors' and partners logos, a sentence on how to obtain more information about the event, and also a teaser for the event "Explore Portuguese culture and flavors, and win trips and hotel stays in Portugal".

Interestingly, the Portuguese athlete Jessica Augusto is featured on page 36. The picture was taken during the New York City Half Marathon (NYC). Jessica Augusto is a Portuguese professional athlete who competes in different types of events, such as cross country, middle / long distance track and road running.
