Chef Santos has worked at renowned restaurants like Per Se and Bouley in New York City. Currently launching "Um Segredo" supper club, Chef Santos combines his creativity with Portuguese tradicional flavors.

Their presence in the US is part of a "cultural exchange" with American DJs / Producers. They will all play together here in NY and in LA, and then will travel to Spain and Protugal to play together there.
Feb 26th - 5pm | Rogue Space Gallery
The Portuguese artist Beatriz Albuquerque is holding a live performance this Saunday, February 26th - 5pm, at the Rogue Space Gallery titled "A Poet in New York". The perofrmance is based on the poems of Federico García Lorca, written while he was a student at Columbia University from 1929 until 1930. The artist created this project based on the interpretation of the poems and descriptions in them.

The Portuguese fado singer António Zambujo will be performing once again in New York City this coming May 12th.

António first garnered national fame with his role of Francisco da Cruz, Amália Rodrigues's first husband, in the blockbuster musical Amália in Lisbon and on tour; he later won the Amália Rodrigues Foundation prize for the Best Fado Male Singer.
December 16-22 | Storefront for Art and Architecture
Digital Revolution is a recently submitted entry by Tiago Barros and Ana Cravinho for the International Ideas Competition "Strategies for Public Occupation: A Call for ideas" which was organized by the Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York City. The project will be in exhibition at the Storefront for Art and Architecture between December 16 and December 22, 2011.
The project searches for a new vision on the future of protests around the World. It recognizes protests as an essential and highly important method for people to demonstrate their opinions. On the other hand it also acknowledges its limitations, such as, the limit of people, conditions, danger, all of these associated with huge gatherings of people.

bitforms gallery is pleased to announce The Birdwatchers, a group exhibition featuring work of four contemporary artists that observe nature and repurpose it within altered landscapes, as part of their interdisciplinary practice. The exhibited works include physically animated plants and animals, video, animation, letterpress prints, and drawing on paper.
